Tom Fruin was born in 1974 in LA , California, but he currently lives & works in Brooklyn, New York. Tom's plexiglass sculptures are what caught my attention. He builds 3D structures out of stained glass and installs an interior light source, so his work looks breathtaking inside and outside. His colorful masterpieces make for great pictures because when the light streams through the stained glass it casts blocks of colors around setting. One plexiglass house he installed in Brooklyn Bridge Park ("Kolonihavehus"), he had two performers portray "everyday dilemmas and lifestyle paradoxes in a subtle manner". Which I think is an interesting aspect to add to his displays. His work draws my attention because its interactive, as well as the fact that he uses a natural element of sunlight to expand the beauty of the piece.
